I seem to be collecting BBS parts; not the worst hobby…not the best.
Despite the fact that it snowed in the GTA on Tuesday, we had a blast on Sunday at Shannonville; my farmer’s tan is just starting to even out.
Steve’s car first; we’ve seen this car through so many stages and this one certainly doesn’t fail to impress:
These cars take a thrashing, that being said I now want something RWD to sling around the track
My favorite sequence of the day, RB26 powered 240:
I have owned 13 sets of BBS, 4 sets of Rikens, 2 sets of Works, a single set of CCWs, countless OEM sets; and now, my dream set of OZs. Few wheels look as good as the Futuras; in my opinion of course. They need some work, not a lot. So they will be a side project while the LMs (which are currently being re-finished) are in use on the A4.
More to come as they get some love…
As Gill mentioned this event provides something for everyone; and we can certainly appreciate all Megaspeed had to offer, I even entertained the idea of trying to get my car there next year
Can’t argue with the rat rod look, it suits certain cars so well.
Some of my favorites from the “tuner” section above.
Many of these old school builds put just about everything else to shame
I’m sitting here recovering from laser eye surgery trying to figure out which shots I have yet to post…it’s not the easiest task. I’ll start by posting some of the actual show (don’t think we’ve done that yet). I shot mostly Audi because, well, I like them.
Very cool idea for a yellow car
A hot girl with a bagged Audi and a plate with the word “slut” on it=win
I loved this car based simply on the fact that it had RS’ cooling covers.
For me this is the best part of H20; aside from the fact that there are far too many little get togethers to attend. We arrived early this year (Monday) so the first few days are full of empty parking lots and non-congested streets. It’s kind of nice; it’s easier to shoot at Taphouse, that’s for sure.
I was loving this TT, so simple, so good.
Yo Dan, why you no have bagged Tiggy yet?
Although my B5 looks dumb with the hood up because the grille is attached to it; it does make bumperless look less awkward. Still, Pre X Evo’s do it for me.
Ya, we know, it’s a VW show; and there are a lot of cool VAG cars in attendance. There are a lot of cool non VAG cars too, and we can’t forget them. They; this STI for example, are largely responsible for what inspires me when I change things on my own car.
Don’t ask me why, but this Allroad reminds me of Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter; only white…with copper wheels…
To end off; a few I got when parked on the side streets of the Ocean side around 45th.
Gill wasn’t sure if this was static or bagged…cut.
Someone we know just bought these
We had the pleasure of hanging out with the Ivy League East guys today in Ocean City, MD. We took the opportunity to shoot this very unique Bug; static, 1 working door, no working windows, no seatbelts. Standing out is tough these days, but if you do what you like, you can’t go wrong.
You guessed it; Anthony drove into the water feature.
Just a teaser for now, between 3 of us there are probably hundreds of shots to sift through; we got some cool shit though.
For the first year in 4 we decided to rent a house vs. stay at a hotel; it certainly has it’s perks.
Example: you try to pull up onto a small curb front first, like a dumbass, and tear your front lip off.
Matt and I parked in much smarter spots.
And our trophy, we will be giving it out to our favorite car before the week is up; I still need to paint the letters and the backing piece.
More to come soon, there probably aren’t even 100 cars here yet.
