This was our first visit to a Megaspeed/Performance World show. I felt it was a good kickoff to show season. Though the chilly weather outside did nothing to agree. I did see some facebook statuses at the smaller show size this year. However for new visitors like us, we did not notice such. What we did notice was the nice mix of hot rods, muscle cars, drag cars, imports and tuner cars.
Love me some Toyota VTEC.
The stance on this 300C was spot on. And KJohn’s MazdaSpeed3 looked great with the flares and Boso exhaust.
Something tells me @hoowybrow won’t be needing that wax any time soon. Natural patina at it finest.
If you don’t have time for a natural patina, just paint it on. It was however very well done.
There are 3 shows we never miss. Eurokracy, H2Oi and Fitted. We do everything that was can to help Dave put on a great show. We will once again have a booth setup with stickers and tees on offering. Geoff’s A4 will be featured in our booth. We are also hoping to get a few more cars into the indoor venue The venue will take place at the Brampton Fairgrounds, and it is booth indoors and outdoors. The indoor section will be offered to the chosen and is much bigger than last year. The registration and selection process are already underway. LINK.
There were some complaints about the gravel last year. However with the indoor section being that much larger this year, if your car is good enough to be inside, it probably will be.

Performance VW has enlisted our help to cover Eurokracy 2013. The article was published in the April issue. The Scraped.Crusaders. provided the words and images, while the Eurokracy crew provided the one of best car shows in Canada. The issue also happens to feature UNIX Performance’s amazing grean MK1, and a bagged Audi 80. We suggest you take a gander.
Many of the car show we’ve been to, the lot provides as much content as the main deal. The better the show the better the lot. The lot at the Tokyo Auto Salon should provide a few nice rides. Images are all provided by Tomochika Shibata.
The Kawashima Celica.
A stock Celica for comparison.
Loving the character of this R32.
Fender mirrors and a duckbill spoiler. A combo we never see in Toronto
Given this is Japan, this thing is probably static.
We’ve been in contact with Tomochika Shibata for a few years now. He was one of our first Japanese fans to comment on our site. It felt awesome having some fans overseas. He recently had the opportunity to go to this year’s Tokyo Autosalon aka the coolest car show in Japan. So I asked him to send along a few photos.
326Power’s insane GS. Static, obviously.
The Roberuta F40 has already made the internet blog rounds.
Of course they’d have an E30 touring. Love the 90′s feel to this car.
Kin Jong Un?
Definaetly one of my favourite Japanese rides this year. Bee Dragon’s Nissan Y33 Cima.
There are very few racing series left that harken back to true production based machines. Even WTCC and V8 supercars used highly modified vehicles. Trick motors, trannys, diffs and tons of body work. The US based Continental Tire series however, is one of the few true production based series left. The GS class consisting of sportscars with large displacement 6 or 8 cylinder engines, or boosted 4 cylinders. Including the Chevlrolet Camaro, Porsche 911s, Subaru Impreza WRX STIs, Ford Mustangs, BMW M3s, and Aston Martin Vantages. The ST class supports smaller displacement 4 or 6 cylinder coupes, sedans and roadsters. This includes Honda Civics, Mazda Miatas, Hyundai GenesisPorsche Boxsters, Mazda RX-8s, BMW 330is, VW Golfs, Mazda Mazdaspeed3s, Kia Forte Koups, and BMW 128is, I’d love to see the FIA fund and promote a true worldwide showroom stock series. Imagine adding Audi S5s and S3s, Mercedes-Benz C63s and A-Classes, Mitsubishi EVOs, Lexus RC-Fs and ISs, Renault Meganes, Lotus Evoras, Jaguar F-Types. An abundance of full works teams battling it out on big name tracks? It would bring back the win on Sunday sell on Monday sales pitches.
